Simple electrochemical analysis! Ultra - small potentiostat EmStat Pico

Make electrochemical analysis smaller and easier

"We can't do electrochemical analysis without really expensive equipment." There may be many people who gave up like that thinking of a conventional potentiostat or galvanostat.

From rack to device.

"EmStat pico" introduced this time is a small potentiostat module developed jointly by Analog Devices and PalmSens. We have developed a system-on-module type product that can make electrochemical measurements more compact and simple by using the ICs of Analog Devices which continues to evolve, mainly in the field of operational amplifiers.

This time, we will introduce two features of "EmStat Pico".

1. Small size and low cost while maintaining the conventional potentiostat accuracy
2. A powerful and simple dedicated development environment that greatly reduces development time.

1. Small size and low cost while maintaining the conventional potentiostat accuracy

The EmStat pico is a system-on-module product with all the functions required for a potentiostat in an 18 mm x 30 mm size to meet the needs of where miniaturization is required. System integration is designed to fit into microcontroller - based systems using only four wires (5 V, ground, transmit and receive).

For example, you can use an Arduino (Aparicio) MKR as the master controller or interface to a PC using a USB - to - UART converter. In both examples, the EmStat Pico is connected using a screen - printed electrode (SPE) for common electrochemical measurements such as cyclic voltammetry (CV).

2.Powerful, simple, dedicated development environment that significantly reduces development time

The EmStat Pico development board allows the SOM to be connected so that standard electrochemical measurement functions such as linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), square wave voltammetry (SWV) or electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) can be easily integrated into the product with minimal development time and effort, eliminating the learning curve process and reducing development time.
For use in laboratories and test benches, you can use PSTrace PC software to control EmStat Pico from your PC over a USB connection.

MethodSCRIPT ™ EmStat Pico scripting language can be used to control EmStat Pico over the UART for integration into OEM applications or real systems.
This this proprietary scripting language, EmStat Pico can be programmed with human - readable scripts to perform electrochemical functions, or to perform other functions such as loop, data logging to SD, digital I/O, reading ancillary values (e.g. temperature), sleep and pause. The method script code can be generated PSTrace or written manually.
