IT68353 (HDMI2.0+USB Type-C+DP1.4 Switch to HDMI2.0)
1. General Description
The IT68353 is a highly integrated one port USB type-C/PD controller with dual port DisplayPort and single port HDMI2.0 to HDMI2.0 converter. Only one of the DisplayPort ports can be configured as USB-C.
The IT68353 has integrated type-C DFP/UFP/DRP resistors and controls logic with dead battery support. For the USB PD application, IT68353 support PD2.0 completely, and PD3.0 with the chunk mode completely. The build-in dual port DisplayPort receiver is fully compatible with DisplayPort 1.4a and HDCP 1.3/2.3 specifications. With 4-Lane HBR3 (High-Bit-Rate 3) configuration, DP receiver can support VESA resolution up to WUXGA or WQXGA or support CEA resolution up to 1080P @ 240Hz or 4Kx2K @ 60Hz. This DisplayPort receiver also supports MCCS over AUX channel. The build-in single port HDMI 2.0b receiver can supports 6.0Gbps/channel capability and up to 18Gb/s bandwidth. It’s fully compatible with HDMI1.4b/HDMI2.0b, HDCP1.4/HDCP2.3 and also backward compatible to DVI 1.0 specifications.
The build-in HDMI transmitter is a high-performance HDMI 2.0 transmitter, fully compliant with HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 1.4/2.3 and backward compatible to DVI 1.0 specifications. This HDMI transmitter can support color depth up to 36 bits (12bits/color ) and ensures robust transmission of high-quality uncompressed video content. Aside from the various video output formats supported, this HDMI transmitter also support 8 channels digital audio, with sampling rate up to 192kHz and sample size up to 24 bits, and HBR audio.

IT68353 integrates two DisplayPort 1.4 receivers, an HDMI 2.0b receiver, and a highly stable HDMI 2.0b transmitter. It supports up to 4K@60Hz and 1080P@240Hz output, delivering premium video performance across diverse input sources. One DP Rx port is Type-C compliant and works seamlessly with USB PD controllers. It supports Dead Battery mode and PD 3.0 Chunk mode, offering flexibility for power negotiation and power-on behavior.
Supporting 1/2/4-lane configurations, the DP interface is fully compliant with HBR3 (8.1Gbps per lane). HDMI, DVI, HDCP 1.4/2.3 protocols are also supported, ensuring broad compatibility with mainstream source devices.

Designed with thermal efficiency in mind, IT68353 achieves a typical operating temperature of ~48°C under 25°C ambient conditions—demonstrating excellent thermal management and operational stability. It has successfully passed CTS testing for USB PD, enabling smoother product certification.
Embedded MCU and Flash to Streamline Development
