Vijil was founded in 2023 by seasoned technology experts formerly with Amazon SageMaker and Splunk. Drawing on the founding team’s deep experience in enterprise AI and data platforms, the company focuses on addressing the foundational technical and trust challenges that arise when AI agents move into enterprise production environments.

To date, Vijil has raised a total of $23 million in funding. The company completed its seed funding round in November 2023, followed by a $17 million Series A round in November 2025, led by Mayfield Fund and Gradient Ventures.

Vijil positions itself as a specialist in “trust infrastructure” for enterprise AI agents, aiming to bridge the trust gap as organizations move AI agents from pilot projects to production deployments.
